Today is sunny, humid, and quite warm.
I fed the birds. I've seen house finches, goldfinches, sparrows, and cardinals today.
I planted milkweed, orange butterflyweed, and yellow coneflower in 2 spots in the prairie garden.
A new iris is blooming peach-and-purple in the wagonwheel garden, and I don't think I've seen this one before. It smells exactly like cotton candy. :D
EDIT 5/23/21 -- I planted 3 more spots in the prairie garden. I'm out of milkweed and orange butterflyweed now, so I did the last one in shortgrass prairie mix.

I planted 2 of the 7 spots in the prairie garden with milkweed and butterflyweed.
I planted 3 more of the spots in the prairie garden, and am now out of the yellow butterflyweed.

A nasturtium has sprouted in my barrel garden, recognizable by the round leaf. :D
We removed old equipment and installed a new sump pump. It has largely emptied the water from the basement, but will need further tinkering tomorrow. Progress, though.

I fed the birds. I've seen doves, house finches, goldfinches, a rabbit, and a squirrel.
I planted milkweed, yellow butterflyweed, and orange butterflyweed on the west end of the prairie garden. If they bloom and set seed, prevailing winds will carry the seeds over the prairie garden.
Iris, chives, bergamot, and peonies are blooming.

The mulberries and black raspberries have green fruit. Blackberries are blooming. Cup plants are big enough to store water at the base of their leaves, but I didn't see any froggies hiding there.
