This poem came out of the January 5, 2016 Poetry Fishbowl.  It was inspired by a prompt from siliconshaman.  It also fills the "opposites attract" square in my 10-2-15 card for the Ladiesbingo fest.  This poem belongs to the Polychrome Heroics series.

Several women talk about sex and disabilities. 

As a writer, I often portray characters with disabilities, and that includes the sex/romance part of life.  It goes very much like that interview: the specific type of disability has a major effect on whether and how someone can have sex, but most folks can find a way.

This poem is spillover from the June 2, 2015 Poetry Fishbowl. It was inspired by prompts from rix_scaedu, curiosity, and LJ user My_partner_doug. It also fills the "sex on the beach" square in my 6-1-15 card for the June Relationship Bingo fest. This poem has been sponsored by Anthony & Shirley Barrette. Warning: This poem includes some intense topics. Highlight to read more detailed warnings, some of which are spoilers. It features youth romance (but no sex), a soulbond, accidental severing of same, followed by intense grief and depression, then some unpleasant poking around to fix it. But it ends with fluff and cuddles. If these are sensitive subjects for you, please consider your tastes and headspace before moving onward.

 ... in modern times.  Two scholars have tuned their lives to explore a historic period of mutual interest, by doing things the old-fashioned way.  It's a sweet love story as well as a clever study.
