Another Artist for Hire

Recently I found another artist doing cyberfunded creativity. oolong has a post about commission details here. The queue is on this page, and currently short.

Several things caught my eye about oolong's art in these samples. First, the diversity of style is interesting. Second, the conglomeration of electronic devises into a partial skeleton is very clever. Third, I like the nested outlines in contrasting colors, which really make the characters in the lower two pictures pop out. This is good promotional artwork, both attention-grabbing and skillfully drawn.

It really is -- very graphic pop in style. I like the middle couple. Very street. He should consider approaching an agency for illustrators.

Good luck getting an agent. Where are you going to school? Are you studying anything beyond art/graphic design?

*laugh* Well, I know how that goes. Some of the writing classes I had really sucked. I think that writing and art are too often taught by people who are no good at it themselves and don't know what the merry hell they're doing.
