Caring for Young Mothers

I was impressed by the care and consideration in this post about dealing with very young mothers of often-very-sick babies.

Whatever job you do, look for opportunities where you can make the world a better place, help someone who is getting stepped on, address a problem everyone else is ignoring, or simply offer someone a bit of respect and human dignity.  And any time you see someone else doing stuff like this, you can say thank you, which helps lighten the load and increases the chance of more people doing it too.

Theoretically, if the consequences are horrible enough, people won't do whatever they're supposed to prevent.
