New Character: Dorje

Another character that I designed for Torn World, Dorje, has been approved and is now available for adoption.

Dorje is a woman whose unfortunate past overshadows her present, making it difficult for her to enjoy life.  She is competent at many domestic skills and usually willing to lend a hand with whatever needs doing.

Curious -- how did she get a Tibetan/Central Asian Buddhist name?
The language generator listed that as a legitimate Torn Tongue name, and I liked it.

I looked up the Tibetan version. I think I first encountered that object with the transliteration "dorge," like this:
http://dorge.org/dorge.html
And it has the pronunciation "door-jay."

In Torn Tongue, the pronunciation is "DOOR-jeh." I see the similarity, though. There are a few other Torn Tongue words that echo English or other words. That's a known effect across languages -- it's called "false friends" when two words look the same but have different meanings.
