Help Me Launch a Crowdfunding Award

Over on crowdfunding I have started a discussion about establishing an award for cyberfunded creativity.  I'm willing to do much of the work to make this happen, but I would prefer not to handle categories where I've been active myself, so I'm looking for at least one other person to help make this happen.  We're also talking about various features of the award and its process.  If you are interested in crowdfunding, please drop by and share your thoughts!

Though I write some poetry myself.

How are you organizing these awards? I could see having a general nomination period here for the main categories & then having a small panel to select the winners from the top oh... three to five in each category. At that point, if you've got transparency through the initial nomination process, it's easy enough to pull nominees out of the final judging process.

I appreciate the offer, but I really want to have people in charge of the categories who are not doing cyberfunded creativity in that category. That rules you out of Fiction, Poetry, and Patron for 2009.

The remaining two categories are Art and Other Project. If you'd like to manage one of those, please let me know.

A detailed description appears in the original post over on crowdfunding here:

Nominations are to be made as comments to a nomination post in crowdfunding and voting will be done through LJ polls in the same place. Anyone may nominate; anyone may vote; but you can't nominate or vote for yourself. A more flexible system may be developed later; for now, this one is straightforward and doable with current resources.
