Sunday came. We had a total of 14 people, including an unexpected but very welcome friend from out-of-state. For the ritual, we held a water-sharing, and we also linked together some prayer ties that we had previously made, forming strings that were carried out to the ritual meadow. This was the first group ritual for several of our attendees. I think we held the ritual around 2 PM, and after it we laid out some snacks and socialized for a while.
It was after 11 PM by the time the last person left. Everybody was having so much fun hanging out and talking about magic and the Grey School of Wizardry and bodywork and how to build a supercomputer inside a minifridge using freon for an atmosphere, that nobody wanted to leave until they had to.
That was a day well spent.

Lid monitors are an interesting idea, but I just spent 20 minutes last night fixing a friend's upper back. Turns out he'd wrecked it leaning over a computer at school that has its monitor under a pane of glass laid flat into the top of a desk. So horizontal monitors are not optimum for human body interface under most conditions. Now if the lid flipped up, and the computer underneath wouldn't get warm ...
