Strange Fruits

I stumbled across this article about strange tropical fruits today. Some of my favorite unusual fruits include pomegranate, aprium, persimmon, mango, and plantain. What about you?

pomegranate is awesome... mango and starfruit are ok. mm... oddest fruit goes to a chinese pear (which looks quite a bit more like an apple than a pear but tastes like a cross between a pear and a fruit i can't remember the name of).

"Applepear" is the local term for Asian pears. They're interesting, though not a personal favorite.
