Strange Fruits

I stumbled across this article about strange tropical fruits today. Some of my favorite unusual fruits include pomegranate, aprium, persimmon, mango, and plantain. What about you?

Weird, persimmon is a fruit I consider "comfort food". It's common in my family... and I can't remember a time without mango. (I do remember the introduction of pineapple though!) And cactus pear! I remember making juice out of this as a young child and it's still one of my favourites.

I think I just live in a strange fruit kind of world.

When I was little, the fruit selection in stores was a lot smaller. I like having more food choices.

My grandmother introduced me to persimmons. There was a tree in a vacant lot near her house. We used to go pick up the fruit there.
