The Leaf-Colored Cat

For those of you who enjoyed "Felis dendrophila," I thought you might enjoy these photos. I actually have a leaf-colored cat. Unfortunately, she's skittish, so in order to get a picture of her in the leaves, I had to shoot through the door.

Here you can see Macavity sitting on the back patio next to the leaves. She is a sort of blond tortoiseshell.

Here she is curled up in the leaves with Skimbleshanks, a brown tabby.

See what I mean? Come autumn, she is camo cat. She disappears into the leaves.

What a pretty kitty! (Screen door blur notwithstanding.)
Neat! My mother had an orange tabby that was the exact same color as the fallen pine needles that surrounded their house. He was also a camo-kitty. :)
Invisikitty!
Sneakitty!
Skimbleshanks? Where's Mungojerrie????
We have no Mungojerrie at present, but we do have a Rumpleteaser (who is black and white).
Our good old Juli (R.I.P.) was a tortoiseshell too, here's a photo of her:

She disappeared into the leaves, too. Especially with a little black dirt under those leaves. I will ask my parents if they still have photos of her in the garden in autumn...
Camo-cat is the next evolution of cat. Beware, two-legs!

I can see a picture of her in the leaves being captioned, "Camo cat is on secret mission to capture cheeseburger"!
I'll have to see if I can get a decent picture of Macavity someday, to use for this purpose.
