Angel Food for Thanksgiving

For those of you on a tight budget: Angel Food Ministries is offering a Thanksgiving Holiday Box available for preorder between September 1-October 28. It includes a 7-lb turkey, a 2.5-lb. boneless ham, multiple vegetables, and other goodies. This is particularly convenient if you want a small turkey, because it's very hard to find small ones at the supermarket.

Do Want. Do Want a Whole Lot; this is our *first* thanksgiving in our new house with the useable kitchen. I want to make a special, special meal, and I have a table to use as a counter from a chair...so I can sit.

Having a kitchen is just wonderful. I wish you and yours a delightful Thanksgiving.

I have a recipe for "Delectable Turkey of Gratitude" if you want it. This was vehemently requested for repeat performance, so has become our usual.

They usually have a fruit and veggie box, though. The quality varies but sometimes that's a good buy. You could also try requesting a vegetarian box. They have an allergen-free box that was probably started on request.

Thank you for your suggestions and ideas. I took your advice and wrote to the folks at Angel Food via the customer service contact outlet on their website. I'll let you know what I hear in return!
