This was a thylacine ... and may be again, someday. I have a tiny glass figurine of a thylacine. I doubt it was intended to be that by its maker, but it totally looks like a thylacine.

I do love opossums! Last year, at my in-laws', I saw one trundle by back near the woods, with her babies (complete with big dark eyes) loaded up on her back. :) Where I live, I hardly ever see them alive, so it was neat. :)
