Advance Announcement: A Time to... Vol. 2

Carol Hightshoe is currently working on A Time to... Vol. 2: The Best of The Lorelei Signal 2007 with a probable release date of March 15, 2008.

I have two pieces slated for this anthology: the poem "Her Sheltering Wings" and the short story "Ngati and the Listeners."

I also have an Advance Reading Copy of the anthology in MicroSoft Word format. We're seeking reviewers now. If you would like to review this anthology, please give me your email address and I will email the ARC file to you. What exactly are you looking for? I am not an avid short story leader, for once I find the selection difficult to follow in most anthologies (but I own all those of Lackey and Zimmer-Bradley, and some of the MZB fantasy magazine)but I do read them and enjoy them regularly especially since the onnline communities seem to lean heavily towards that format (understandably so). Most of the Fora I follow put up shorts, mostly some even rely solely on that format. How much is it to read and what kind of comments would be wanted? Not a crit, because that stuff is done and out there. I am good at that, methinx, but simple praise/ assessment I could do, depending on the amounts. So, methinx: I need more detail.

As the editor of The Lorelei Signal and A Time To..., I want to say thank you for your interest in this year's anthology. Essentially, if you want to do a review - what you write is up to you. Typically an Anthology review is a general overview of the collection as a whole - in this case not how well the stories link together because as a Best of Anthology there is no common thread running through the stories (although they all feature strong female characters - because that is the general theme of the magazine). Then you can either give your impressions of each story or poem or just select those that really stood out to you and mention them and why they stood out.
