I was also lucky enough to see the Lippizaner show too. They are amazing animals.

I had the great fortune of spending a week in Vienna one spring when the school was in session. A dressage-savvy friend and I spent our early mornings through the week watching the exercises. We got to know the horses and their riders. We could see where one or the other slipped (almost always the rider's fault, and regardless the riders always claimed the fault) and then watch the pair repeat and repeat until the move was seamless.

THEN, that Saturday evening, we got to the see the show. I was so grateful to my friend for educating me through the week, and so lucky to see the show with that introduction.

The horses are simply magnificent!
