Pay What You Can

I'm pleased to see this community-friendly response to the recession:

Business Booming at Pay-What-You-Want Cafe
As restaurants compete for customers in a cash-strapped economy, the SAME cafe in Denver has doubled its business since the recession. The reason is that there are no prices on the menus, just a "Pay what you can" philosophy. If you can't afford to pay at all for the largely organic, homemade food, you can volunteer to wipe tables, weed the garden or wash dishes.(Reuters Video)

Sisters Of The Road in Portland has been doing this for decades.

Good to see the idea taking root elsewhere.
I'm happy to see more examples of this.
Very neat idea! Innovative, practical, creative, and just awesome! :) I like this idea a lot. ^_^
Totally unrelated to your journal post, however, just wanted to drop a note to say the copy of 'Composing Magic' I ordered arrived today. I am looking forward to the read, though I am short on reading time right now as we are packing to move.

Blessed be,
Capricorn
I'm glad the book arrived safely, and I hope you enjoy reading it. (Feedback is welcome.) Good luck with your move, too.
Very nice journal, respect you
