Hard Things

Last week's fishbowl went quite well.  I have completed all obligatory prompts!  \o/  I am still writing some extras, currently exploring the rise of Vermont Shag Carpet Cats in the Rutledge thread.

There are two open epics at present.

"Rainshadow Road" belongs to the Daughters of the Apocalypse series.  After further discussion, people decide how to handle the problem of Maggot's lingering illness.

"The Heart's Best Tenant" belongs to the Steamsmith.  Charlotte has some interesting business ideas for Maryam.

The weather has been mild here. It rained a little the other day.  Seen at the birdfeeders this week: a flock of house finches,  several mourning doves, and a pair of cardinals.  I also heard a whippoorwill singing in the yard!  :D 3q3q3q!!!!  Comfrey, marigold, zinnia,  Queen Anne's lace, purple coneflowers, yellow coneflowers, chicory,  black-eyed Susan, Autumn Beauty sunflower,  cypress vine, garlic chives, sedum, hostas, Maximillian sunflowers, and sunchokes are blooming.  The black hollyhock is putting out occasional extra flowers after completing its main show.  Cup plants are done blooming.  Apples, pears, and cherry tomatoes have green fruit.
