Off-topic, but here's an interesting post I found while doing my regular blog-reading runs: Restaurant owner gives free meals to students in exchange for dishwashing. I thought this was cool, and wondered if there were places in the States that were doing this. (There probably are and I just haven't been paying attention enough or something. I do know that there is at least one hair salon place that was giving away free haircuts in a specific time window on Sunday or something to people who were unemployed - customers just had to bring proof of unemployment and they got their hair cut.)
