Poetry Fishbowl on Tuesday, February 15
There will be a Bonus Fishbowl on Tuesday, February 15 featuring the series Eloquent Souls. This is fantasy romance about how soulmarks don't solve everything, but do make life more interesting.
It doesn't have a series page yet, so here are the poems:
"Skin Bridges" 2-20-21
Story Date: Antebellum, mid-1800s
Summary: Back in slavery days, soul marks helped some people find their way to freedom.
"Die Zeichen" 3-4-21
Story Date: World War II
Summary: Soul marks have a big impact on World War II.
"Soul Song" 2-4-21
Story Date: contemporary
Summary: What does it mean when your soulmark says something depressing? Not always what you think it does.
"Shiver in Awareness" 4-6-21
Story Date: 2016
Summary: When a happily married woman discovers a new soulmark, life gets more complicated.
"The Transmigration of Soulmarks" 4-17-21 (Creative Jam 100)
Story Date: 2017
Summary: Gender affirmation usually breaks up a pre-existing relationship, but sometimes that opens the way for new connections.
"Like Love Letters in the Sand" 8-3-21
Story Date: March 2017
Summary: A stonecarver discovers why her soulmark is so unusual.
"You Are So Busted" 2/2/22
Story Date: Saturday, April 7, 2018
Summary: Denis has always hated his soulmark.
There are also some notes for this setting, appearing under "Soul Song". They explain a bit about how soulmarks and soulbonds work in this setting. You can use these as inspiration for your prompts. If you want to keep your poem price toward the lower end, using things I've already researched will save me time so I'm less likely to need extra research fees.
I have some lists you may find inspiring. Are you tired of straight white abled etc. soulfic? Mark ALL the souls!
* Genders in My Characters
* My Characters with Disabilities
* Romantic Orientations in My Characters
* Sexual Orientations in My Characters
