These are the notes for " A Most Peculiar Circumstance ." Cruiser Ravenskull L057 -- the AYES of a jumpship originally from the Carina-Sagittarius army. Ravenskull and its pilot Ril Haneff (CS-332-14-112) were the only survivors of a battle early in the war. With communication and stardrive both offline, they expected to die. Eventually Ril managed to repair the stardrive enough to reach near-light speed, along with short-range communication, so they limped toward the nearest Carinan holding, Supply Base 3D3N. Ril died during the journey, leaving the repairs unfinished. When Ravenskul l finally limped into the base, its information was years out of date -- the Lacuna had seceded and formed a culture all its own. * * * Daisies symbolize innocence, purity, and transformation. Any plant with clusters of tiny flowers, such as goldenrod, oregano, and angelica, are among the best bee plants to include in your garden. Also in this category are daisy-type flowers that consist of hundreds of tiny flowers collected together to create a central disc surrounded by petals. Plants like Shasta daisies, sunflowers, coreopsis, and black-eyed Susans are perfect choices. Bees are attracted to large patches of flowers ; plant them in areas of 3 feet x 3 feet, or larger. Queens produced in late summer and fall are the only members of the colony to survive winter. After mating, they hibernate a few inches underground in loose soil. Ground nesters , Bombus species often nest in an existing ground cavity such as an abandoned rodent burrow. Others simply make a nest on top of the ground and loosely cover it with thatch and vegetative debris.
