Notes for "Becomes the Saving Grace"

These are the notes for "Becomes the Saving Grace."

Natale Pugliese -- She has light olive skin, brown eyes, and long wavy hair of dark brown.  She is tall and willowy with shallow curves and a long face.  Athletic and sultry, she attracts plenty of attention.  Her heritage is Italian.  She speaks English, Esperanto, French, Greek, Italian, and Spanish.  She is 20 years old in 2016.  Natale is the younger sister of Ludovico "Vico" Pugliese.  She grew up in the Marionettes and wants to work for the Family, but has not yet decided how.  So she's taking a variety of classes for bodyguards, comares, and Businesswomen.

"The search for the lessons of the new science is still in progress, really in its infancy. In this realm, three is a new kind of freedom, where it is more rewarding to explore than to reach conclusions, more satisfying to wonder than to know, and more exciting to search than to stay put. Curiosity, not certainty, becomes the saving grace."

Cas has new abilities, but resists acknowledging them.  This is plain old denial, but compare with tropes like Can't Stay Normal and I'm Not a Hero.  Cas tends to humor people if they won't shut up about him having powers, but away from that influence, he goes right back to it.  Breaking through this will take some time.  You'll see more about why he feels this way later in the story arc -- it's not without reason, just not accurate.

The linen closet metaphor of PTSD relates to sorting out memories so they will stop intruding when unwanted. PTSD is fundamentally a filing error in the brain. Stacking-sorting games like Tetris can help jumpstart the process of filing memories correctly, thus preventing or reducing PTSD. However, other organizational activities can serve a similar purpose. Pick one that captivates you for the best results. In this case, a mindhealer assists with the sorting process before trauma can settle into something troublesome.

The previous incident with Cas and Ned occurred in "Not a Sudden Problem."
