"Science is like a love affair with nature; an elusive, tantalizing mistress. It has all the turbulence, twists and turns of romantic love, but that’s part of the game."
– Vilayanur S. Ramachandran
The basement of Blues Moon contains the working part of the lair. The largest office below the lunch room belongs to Boss White. The one across from it is the guest room. The accounts/manager and board room offices are shared space. The big corner office in the upper right is the patch room. They actually don't have an exercise room in their own lair; instead they have a group membership at a nearby gym.
In the shared office, multiple desks around the room accommodate the gang's organizational needs. The room has sound-absorbing panels like these, both for privacy and so it can be used for musical practice outside of office hours. A sitting area in one corner allows for relaxation and waiting for attention. A jazz painting hangs on the back wall above the sitting area.
Bluehill is particularly known for its homebrewing, not just of beer and other alcohol, but also of soft drinks. Azure Cap is a regionally popular bottler similar to Jones Soda, using clear glass bottles with a distinctive blue cap; their logo has a blue baseball hat. One of their signature flavors is a baklava soda, sweetened with honey and flavored with walnut extract, which is hugely popular with strongmen and speedsters. Bittersweet Orange is another, like a cross between a regular orange soda and Italian chinotto.
The Industrial Park / Service Park / Storage area includes the storage area marked at the bottom of the Cambridge Commons site map. It lies between Ridge Road and the train track that parallels Concord Boulevard, zoned Light Industrial. The narrow lines of dark green bordering much of the industrial park are dense hedgerows. These provide visual screening between the buildings and the surrounding naturescape of Mill Creek Park, plus shelter for wildlife and discouragement to human traffic. Most of the individual businesses in this industrial park have one or more racks for the True Blue Bikeshare, as many employees enjoy biking to work during pleasant weather.
Industrial Drive is the northern access road. At its northwest end, UNRUH Fabrication, Incorporated is a company that makes all kinds of different things. The large gray building toward the top is their gizmology lab (basement) and warehouse (main floor); the small gray building on the same lot is their business facility; they also hold two lots at the southeastern end of Industrial Drive and adjacent to the narrower Reserve pond, each housing its own factory. LDS Express, Inc. in the medium gray building on the center north part of Industrial Drive is a multipurpose shipping company similar to Federal Express; they manage railway freight, trucking via TRS Trucking, and air freight through a local airport. Not public knowledge is that they also have a teleporter. TRS Trucking has the three western lots just south of Industrial drive, one of them adjacent to Ridge Road. Woodco Building, LLC includes a building supply yard with lumber, gravel, and other materials plus the base of operations for their construction company.
Wheatland Drive is the southern access road, and unlike the map below, its turnabout circle extends to the edge of the wider reserve area, similar to Industrial Drive. Lot 1 at the northwest end of Wheatland Drive has the fleet maintenance building and the fleet parking garage for city vehicles. The maintenance building has separate spaces for agricultural and other large vehicles, then cars and small trucks. There is also a fuel facility. Lots 4 and 5 at the east tend of Wheatland Drive are storage facilities, including industrial warehouses and u-store buildings owned by the same corporation, Wedgewood Warehousing. Lot 7 on south central Wheatland Drive is Azure Cap Soda, Inc. Lot 8 on the corner of Wheatland Drive and Ridge Road remains unsold due to the large floodway easement, and is available for expanding Azure Cap.
Given the need for much more space, Azure Cap wound up building a new factory nearby. In Terramagne-America, it is still common to build worker housing and other amenities near workplaces, especially if the construction is likely to bring many new people into the area.
The factory is marked Phase I near the middle of the sitemap. Along the roads, the worker housing is marked Phase II and Phase III. It offers 5 triplexes (2-bedroom or 3-bedroom) adding up to 15 units, 1 fourplex (3-bedroom) with 4 units, 5 fiveplexes (2 to 5-bedroom) adding up to 25 units, and 2 ten-unit apartment buildings (1-bedroom) adding up to 20 units, for a total of 64 units. The fiveplex model comes standard with 3 bedrooms on the 3rd floor, but has options for bedroom

The leaky pipeline routes women, black people, and other minorities out of STEMZ. In Terramagne, this also drives many people to become supervillains or minions. Here are some ways to fix that.
Berbere is an Ethiopian spice blend with intense, fiery flavor. You can buy some or make your own. If you want it even hotter, replace the sweet paprika with hot paprika. Simon's version generally follows the written recipe but also includes korarima (Ethiopian cardamom). Quanta (Ethiopian beef jerky) can be made with berbere or with chili paste. This version is made with chili paste for a different flavor note. To make Ethiopian popcorn: first pop a batch of popcorn using ghee as the cooking fat. Add 1 teaspoon to 1 tablespoon of berbere and 1/4 to 1/2 cup of quanta, depending on how hot you want it, then shake to coat. This doesn't need butter because the ghee is already there, and the berbere has a little salt.
Jazz soda is a Terramagne-American brand vaguely similar to Jolt Cola in terms of extreme caffeine and sugar content. However, Jazz is electric blue and sweetened with emulsified corn syrup.
High-fructose corn syrup has many dangers, among them promoting cancer. Emulsified corn syrup in Terramagne is worse. The difference is that, as soon as the public found out about that, people went apeshit and then banned it.
Corporate death penalty -- a sentence handed down typically for crimes against society or against the Earth. Terramagne-America requires that companies perform some sort of public good and refrain from grievous harm to people or the planet. A company that does grave harm can be disbanded for cause and all assets sold to cover damages.
