The Real Swine...

... are people who crowd hogs together in filthy conditions, and think that no harm will come from this and that it produces healthful food. Articles are now appearing about how investigations show connections between the swine flu and factory farming.

I wish I could say this surprises me, but it doesn't. I haven't eaten pork for almost five years now for religious / purity reasons, and the fact I didn't want to participate in that industry - and my state is a huge pork producing state.
I'm very much against factory farming myself. Given my current monofilament budget, I can't always avoid commercially produced meat. But we do like to buy from a nearby Amish meat market when we can, and they buy local pasture-raised animals for slaughter. Much better food.
