Birdfeeding

Today is cloudy and cold.  It's been sprinkling off and on, then turned to a few drifting snowflakes later.

I fed the birds.  Today I've seen several pairs of cardinals, some sparrows, a downy woodpecker, and a squirrel.

The past 2-3-5 days we've had 6-8 male cardinals for sure ... and at least 3 females. My momma loves to watch them!

I'm sure of at least 3 pairs here, having seen that many together. I would guess that we have several more pairs scattered around the yard. They're so pretty flying around the brown landscape. :D The downy woodpeckers are flashy in their own way too. I've seen one repeatedly this winter.
