Here too, at least among people we know.

There's something to be said for diversifying the offerings, though -- and especially for spacing out support so it's not a flood in the first week and then nothing.

The type of food never made any sense to me. People mostly bring heavy things like casseroles or pies. Nobody thinks to bring something light, like soup or fruit, to accommodate appetites suppressed by misery.
