Birdfeeding

Today is cool and gray.  It rained most of yesterday, so top few inches of soil are damp and soft.  \o/

I fed the birds.  I flushed a flock of bluejays from the trees at the east end of the south lot -- at least four or five, it sounded like.

My fall bulb shipment has arrived.  I planted 12 Asiatic Lily Mixture around the telephone pole.

EDIT 10/21/20 -- I planted 10 Orange Monarch Snow Crocus around the yard by the house.  As it is starting to sprinkle again, I don't know if I'll be able to get back out today.

EDIT 10/21/20 -- I planted 12 Winter Aconite in the Goddess Garden.  It started drizzling again, but that's okay, because I am done for the night. \o/

I've been hearing owlets shriek all afternoon.  Different voices, it sounded like three or four of them.  When I went to the ritual meadow, though, I could only spot one.  Still fun to see.  :D

Some red pepper sprinkled on the soil where you've planted your lilies may help keep the rodents from digging them up and eating them.
