This type of jewelry for tailed characters consists of two rings joined by a chain, and the idea is to control your tail so as to keep the loose secondary ring from falling off. In addition to being an interesting cultural discussion about anthropomorphic characters, it's also interesting from an art perspective. At first glance, these things look like the kind of illogical ornament drawn by careless or inexperienced artists, that would fall right off a real person and not hang like they're drawn. But they're supposed to be like that, and once you know the trick, they make sense. It's a reminder to view thoughtfully: sometimes an odd thing is a mistake, and sometimes it's a clue.
