Women Warriors in History

Here is an interesting article that explores women warriors in European history. It barely touches on one key issue, though: cross-dressing. Plenty of women have passed as men, and those were least likely to be written about because they tended to divert attention from themselves.

Oh wow wow wow! I recognize half of the references there - I used them in my dissertation. And the pictures - brought back memories too. Bookmarked for future reading! :)

That's actually how they caught Joan of Arc in the end, because they couldn't make her incriminate herself during her trial. Just a random factoid.
