But as I said over there. When around 90% of all information flow is routed though the USA, when ICANN [an american company] controls the primary DNS [the root servers for the net]... these powers would mean that some hypothetical President could hold the entire world's network to hostage. Take the US offline, and the rest of the network goes dark [at least until people work out how to route around it, if at all possible.]
