One Body, Two Souls

I came across this piece today about Abby and Britty, conjoined twins who share most of their body. This sticks in my mind because I have a race of aliens for whom a similar configuration is the norm.

Ah, the Hensel twins. I've heard of them.

This sticks in my mind because I have a race of aliens for whom a similar configuration is the norm.

Really? Do tell.

I started a comedy scifi story that was going to have in it a species who were natural Multiples and would physically shapeshift whenever they switched from one to another. Which was actually a function of their biology, as they are polygendered. They had something like 6 different genders and each one of them could be any of the genders. The genders were:
1. Sterile male
2. Sterile female
3. Fertile male
4. Fertile female
5. A sexless gender good for intellectual activity, art, and raising babies.
6. Birthing female... which was NOT a gender to switch to lightly, as birthing females are ferocious protectors. The other genders look like blue, 6-armed humanoids, but in the Birthing Female gender they grow four times bigger, grow horns and spikes and fangs, and become strong enough to *toss* cars.
Oh! I've seen a documentary about them! It's really awesome how much variation exists in the human race.
Hey, OT, but: are you doing NaPoWriMo?
I haven't heard of it. This sounds like NaNoWriMo. Provide a link?
Shades of Joe/Jim Gregory!
