Fishbowl Report

Yesterday's Poetry Fishbowl went well. There were a total of 25 posts (including mine). 7 people posted prompts. I got 10 poems out of this, and I posted two of them on the blog for everyone to enjoy.

Most of those poems stuck with the nature genre, which is good. I wondered how long it would take me to drift into speculative fiction ... *laugh* ... not long. The third poem I wrote, "Memories of Winter," is fantasy.

This also marks the first time that someone posted image prompts rather than text. Both are okay! Image prompts are especially nice for nature and I got lots of use out of them.

Some of the participants this time were regular members of my audience, while a few were new. That's the kind of mix I'm aiming for: I hope that I'll be entertaining enough for people to keep coming back, but I also want to attract new folks. Thank you all for a lovely day!

Sorry I missed your fishbowl event. Do you want belated prompts posted?
No, I need to keep the fishbowl projects within parameters. Don't worry, though -- I plan to keep doing these, so you'll have more chances to participate. You can still go back and read the poems I posted yesterday though.
