We had a hailstorm  here.  Usually when we get hail, it is pea-sized and only lasts a few seconds.  A vigorous whacking alerted me to the problem, so while I did what I could to reduce it, I also went to look outside.  The hail was up to half an inch wide, and came down heavily enough that it almost covered the ground.  It continued for several minutes, gradually getting smaller and sparser.

Hopefully it didn't do any significant damage.  It doesn't take much to shred plants, but most are dormant at the moment.  Though I probably lost the few flowers that are poking out.
