We have a corned beef cooking for supper, and a jello mold in the fridge. A covenmate brought over a Yule tree with a mix of black and gold ornaments. We're doing a Norse theme this time. \o/
My partner and I have swapped our gifts. I gave him several geeky T-shirts, a video, and a magic thing that's still in the mail. He gave me a cat T-shirt, a yin-yang wolf T-shirt, and three new writing books: The Emotion Thesaurus, The Rural Setting Thesaurus, and The Urban Setting Thesaurus. Most highly recommended, as they list details sorted by five senses along with other tidbits. These belong to the same series as last year's gifts The Positive Trait Thesaurus and The Negative Trait Thesaurus, which I use routinely for writing character sheets. I imagine I'll use the new ones for brainstorming settings to go in fishbowl announcements, where setting is one of the things for which I list ideas. I confess that I'm eyeing The Emotional Wound Thesaurus, the last one I don't have yet. Eh, I have a birthday coming up in spring.
