Losing Forests

 Increasingly when forests burn, they don't regenerate.  The land becomes scrub or grassland instead.  Each type of habitat has a range of soil, temperature, and water conditions in which it can thrive.  Those are changing, so we see changes not only in types of plants but in types of ecosystem.
