Atavistic Muscles

Added to the list of atavistic features that human embryos develop but then shed: extra muscles in hands and feet that allow some lizards and monkeys a greater range of dexterity.  Occasionally some of them don't disappear, although the article says they don't affect dexterity in adults.  This makes me wonder, however, if people who do  have exceptional dexterity have any of those extra muscles.

Gotta love the kitchen junk drawer.
