I miss ash and thorn. :(

Most English classes are about as scientifically accurate and useless as phrenology. >_< But I did have one teacher who spoke Old English, so that got a lot more interesting, and less inaccurate.

I once came up with two letters similar in function to thorn. Where thorn is TH, shrike is SH, and chaffinch is CH. Shrike looks like a dollar sign with a horizontal line through it, and chaffinch looks like a cent sign with a horizontal line through it.
