There are still verses left in the linkback poems "The Open Gyre," "Growing Green, Growing Gold," "Mysterious and Impermanent," "Greater Than the Sum," "Nascent Wisdom," "A Lively Feast," "Between the Normal and the Abnormal," "Always Carry Your Goodness," "Crossroads on the Hero's Journey," "Gökotta," and "May Everything."

"Because I Said I Would"
The Shaeth prompt inspired the free-verse poem "Because I Said I Would." Shaeth finds Belfegar and Agricole teaching Trobby an old hymn.
102 lines, Buy It Now = $51

When Shaeth came out
of his temple to investigate
an odd sound he'd heard, he
found Belfegar and Agricole
sitting on the steps teaching
Trobby the words of a hymn.

"Dance in the Sun"
Several prompts combined to make the free-verse poem "Dance in the Sun." Shiv enjoys wheelchair dancing at Tolli and Simon's wedding.
1063 lines, Buy It Now = $532

Shiv had always thought
that weddings were awful, but
Tolli and Simon's was awesome.

They had the whole big house
and yard to spread out in, so folks
weren't tripping over each other
or jostling for elbow room.

"The Lord's Night"
Your mazil prompt inspired the free-verse poem "The Lord's Night." After a wedding in the village, Victor and Igor get an unusual request from the newlyweds.
343 lines, Buy It Now = $172

In June, Costin and Ruxandra
said their wedding vows.

Victor and Igor were
no great fans of church,
but they attended the event
with the rest of the village
to show their support.

"The Price You Pay for Love"
Your Cuoio prompt inspired the free-verse poem "The Price You Pay for Love." A tragedy in the Family leaves Cuoio and Chiara to pick up the pieces.
738 lines, Buy It Now = $369

The first sign of trouble
that Cuoio saw came when
Pomarola stumbled under
the pergola and flung herself
on Chiara, sobbing her heart out.

"Spirit Over Ego"
Your paladin prompt inspired the free-verse poem "Spirit Over Ego." Nashalle is the village listener, and one day she finds something new to listen to.
127 lines, Buy It Now = $64

When the old woman came to the village,
Nashalle watched her move through
the market with stately grace.

"Spirits of the Forest"
A backchannel prompt inspired the poem "Spirits of the Forest." Strange incidents in the woods make Sophia, Myrtle, and Patterson look for answers.
114 lines, Buy It Now = $57

Spring had gotten off to an odd start.

People who went walking in the woods
kept hearing and seeing strange things.

"Those Tiny, Negative Elements"
Your Ricasso prompt inspired the free-verse poem "Those Tiny, Negative Elements." When Shiv makes a mistake in Motor City, he tries to make up for it according to local custom. It does not go well.
963 lines, Buy It Now = $482

Shiv made it two weeks before
he fucked up bad enough
to earn a real punishment.

* * *

Your prompt contributed to a pentaptych about how Shiv joined the Ebonies & Ivories. This is really all one story, but I managed to find breakpoints so the subsections aren't too long.

"The Smallest Decisions"
After an unfortunate experience with the street nurse Turtledove, Shiv decides to get even.
52 lines, Buy It Now = $20

Shiv should have known better.

But no, he'd gotten a bad rash
and Rack had sworn up and down
that the new street nurse Turtledove
could fix that sort of problem.

"If You Don't Stick Up for Them"
When Boss Batir finds out about Shiv's revenge on Turtledove, he is not pleased.
159 lines, Buy It Now = $80

The day after Shiv got even
with Turtledove, he went to
Boss Batir for an assignment
now that he could work again,
only to realize the boss had
found out what happened.

"Getting Close to a New Guy"
After Shiv gets kicked out of Lincoln, he takes a bus to Omaha where he meets Brown Bottle, who has an offer for him.
91 lines, Buy It Now = $46

When the bus reached Omaha,
Shiv was so stiff and sore that
he could barely stand up.

"The Supreme Quality for Leadership"
When Brown Bottle brings a new boy to the gang, Boss White is surprised by what he finds.
461 lines, Buy It Now = $231

The basement of Blues Moon
was quiet, Monday being
the slowest day of the week.

Boss White stretched, trying
to shrug off the growing ache
that spread over his back.

"Work Worth Doing"
Shiv wakes up in an unfamiliar place, and has to figure out how to fit into his new gang.
511 lines, Buy It Now = $256

Shiv woke in a big soft bed
so unfamiliar that at first he had
no idea how he wound up in it.
