Bacteria Eat Drugs

A few bacteria can eat dopamine used to treat Parkinson's disease.  This is one explanation for why the drug works well for some people but not for others -- differences in gut biomes.  But it's also an interesting hint at the gut-brain connection because dopamine is naturally found in the brain, not much else in the body.
