Here scientists predict smaller animals in the future . This may be true; it takes fewer resources to make a little animal than a big one. But they also predict insect-eaters at an advantage. I'm guessing they didn't read about the insect collapse . Oops. 1) This is why you need interdisciplinary awareness. 2) It's also why I put my money on the generalists: critters that can eat anything that will fit in their face have an advantage over every specialized critter in a disaster scenario.
