Thursday Yardening

Today is partly cloudy and steamy.

I fed the birds.  Seen at the feeders today: several doves and sparrows, a robin, a pair of cardinals, a pair of goldfinches, a brown thrasher, a house finch, and an indigo bunting.

Then I planted things in the wildflower garden: two purple prairie clover, one wild white indigo, one wild blue indigo

EDIT 5-23-19: Round Two, I cut water jugs into greenhouses.  Then I planted northern sea oats, butterfly milkweed, obedient plant, and purple prairie petunia in the wildflower garden.

I saw two female goldfinches at the feeders today, so we have at least two M/F pairs now.  \o/

EDIT 5-23-19: Round Three, I cut water jugs into greenhouses.  Then I planted prairie blazing star, dotted blazing star, royal catchfly, and mountain mint in the wildflower garden.

EDIT 5-23-19: Round Four, I cut water jugs into greenhouses.  Then I planted Short's aster, wild quinine, purple Joe Pye weed, and New Jersey tea in the wildflower garden.
