Friday Yardening
Today is cloudy and warm.
I fed the birds. I've been seeing male goldfinches, and a bluejay the other day.
Round One, I planted 4 marigolds in the septic garden. Lots of stuff is coming up on its own: rhubarb, chives, sedum, wild onions, mint, and lamb's ear.
EDIT 5/17/19: Round Two, I planted morning glories and moonflowers in the barrel garden and around the support wire for the telephone pole. I planted a rosemary and a cilantro plant also.
EDIT 5/17/19: Round Three, I planted a bunch of gladioli around the telephone pole, amongst the Asian lilies.
I saw an indigo bunting under the feeders in the forest garden. :D We had those around here for several years, but then they disappeared, and I hadn't seen one for quite a while. I hope he sticks around!
