Making Space

One of the best ways to fix imbalances of representation is simply to make space for less-heard groups to speak.  A literary magazine called The Lifted Brow handed over total  control for one issue to a team of Aboriginal women.  Rather than having to start from scratch, they enjoyed a budget, a publishing venue, and an established audience.  More like this would go a long way toward solving problems of representation.
