Photos of Luxor, Egypt

Vicarious travel is available on this blog. There are many closeups of Egyptian statuary and hieroglyphic writing. I have looked at hieroglyphic alphabets often enough that I can't simply skim past anymore; my eyes are snagged by what registers as writing, and I find myself looking for symbols I recognize, even though I can't read all of them. I also recognize Horus in the statues, and there are sphinx statues too. Other images show buildings, walls, surrounding scenery, camels, and so forth. This is a lovely collection of Egyptian imagery for anyone who needs something to tickle their muse.
