Hard Things

Life is full of things which are hard or tedious or otherwise unpleasant that need doing anyhow. They help make the world go 'round, they improve skills, and they boost your sense of self-respect. But doing them still kinda sucks. It's all the more difficult to do those things when nobody appreciates it. Happily, blogging allows us to share our accomplishments and pat each other on the back.

What are some of the hard things you've done recently? What are some hard things you haven't gotten to yet, but need to do? Is there anything your online friends could do to make your hard things a little easier?

Hubby broke a blade on our riding lawn mower this past weekend. Finally found a source for replacement blades, so I went and bought them today.
Got back home and I mounted up on my lawn mower and rode it over to my auto mechanic who sweetly replaced the blades AND sharpened them for me!
[I smiled and waved at a couple of people who naturally had to stop everything and watch me tool down the road--like they'd never seen someone ride their lawn mower before!]
After all that, I then mowed everything we had.
:^}

New blades are good. We'll need ours replaced soon.
I wasn't prepared for the price--I had to pay $65 for a new set. (YOW!)
I hope you won't be hit as hard when you buy your replacements.
:^)
I had sunspots frozen off my face and left hand on Tuesday.

Only five all up. Short term pain to prevent long term extended unpleasantness.
