Today is cloudy and cooler with intermittent rain. I got out to plant some milkweed seeds. There's a patch by the edge of the prairie garden with a bunch of thistles. I'm hoping to let that grow, and mow just beyond them, in hopes they'll seed into the newly mowed area for next year. So I added some milkweeds too. We used to have a bunch of these, but now it's mostly goldenrod instead. :/ I fed the birds. I've been watching the goldfinches today. They keep getting chased off the thistle sock by the house finches. Also there's a robin building a nest in the birdgift tree.
