Got Imbolc Ideas?

I've posted two articles about Imbolc over on Gaiatribe: Ideas for a Thinking Planet:
Preparing for Imbolc
Imbolc Food and Decorations

If you need resources for the upcoming holiday, those two posts contain some historic background, theme ideas, food and decoration ideas, plus links to many online resources and books.

So, what are you folks planning for Imbolc? Our coven is hosting a ritual on Sunday.

I'm going to east whistle pig if it sees its shadow.
I'm in that group. I even married one. How's that for a marmot fancier, eh?
I believe I've heard comments that we'll have something Imbolc-related as part of our circle tomorrow evening, just not sure what yet.

Thanks for the links. We're supposed to take a main dish for the potluck, so seeing some ideas for Imbolc food is helpful.
Our Imbolc (which our tradition calls Candlemas, which has never made sense to me) included burning down all the half-used candles from the past year's rituals and burning the greens we'd decorated with before Yule. Our feast included corned beef & cabbage and crepes.
That's a clever idea, burning down the old candles. I'll keep that in mind for possible use. We lit candles to celebrate the light within, and we exhanged sweets.
Cool! One of the things I did was to make a coven songbook, a 3-ring binder with a cover insert and printed pages inside. It's full; I need to make a new one and split the alphabet. This gives us a place to look when we are planning esbat or sabbat activities:

"Okay, we need to raise power here."
"Let's do a chant."
"What kind of chant?"
"Howbout something with fire or light in it?"
"I'll get the coven songbook."
BTW, although I missed this post, I really like hearing about your practice of Paganism. I hope you make a post like this for future holidays.

I do this fairly often. Also, my one-two pair of Imbolc articles worked really well over on "Gaiatribe." I've made notes to write more for some mundane holidays and the remaining sabbats.
