Why would you do that? According to tradition, the reason the Djinn were bound in the first place is because they're wantonly destructive - "Some beings with phenomenal cosmic powers just want to watch the world burn" - so freeing one without a binding promise of safety and friendship would almost certainly be a messy and painful method of suicide, and would also probably unleash a reign of fire and terror upon the earth. Not that we aren't having one anyway, but just sayin'.
