Monday Update 1-14-19

It's after midnight, but I haven't slept yet, so for me it's still Monday. Dreamwidth is up at the moment, but Downrightnow still reports service outage for LiveJournal, which usually parallels Dreamwidth -- although in this case, LJ came back hours before DW did. Whatever.

These are some posts from the later part of last week in case you missed them:
Poem: "L’amore è Cieco"
Poem: "The Nature of Advertising"
Poem: "Never Trusted Without a Check"
Community Building Tip: Out Front
Emotional Intimacy Question: What Matters
Poem: "Mistakes and Changes"
Cuddle Party

The fishbowl last week was okay. Not a lot of donations, and I'm seriously backlogged on writing due to repeated interruptions for other activities. "Fernweh," "As the Heavens Are Higher Than the Earth," and "On a Long Leash" have been sponsored.

So far no activity on the Rose and Bay Awards. :( Nominations are now OPEN for all categories of the Rose & Bay Awards for excellence in crowdfunding. Please nominate your favorite projects and patrons. These are the handlers for the 2019 award season:

Poetry in Microfunding:

There are two open epics. That leaves a slot open in case anybody wants to open a new one tomorrow. \o/

"Only If It Is Embraced" belongs to Polychrome Heroics: Damask and has 55 new verses. Pain's Gray warns Ham about mistreating Keane.

"A Cave Swarming with Strange Forms of Life" belongs to Polychrome Heroics: Iron Horses. Kenzie goes to Pretty Ears for counseling.

We got a lot of snow here. Everything is covered in white. Roads are navigable though. Seen at the birdfeeders this week: a big flock of starlings, a flock of sparrows, a flock of dark-eyed juncos, a small flock of mourning doves, several pairs of cardinals, a pair of downy woodpeckers, a red-bellied woodpecker, and a squirrel.
