Monday Yardening

Today is cloudy and pleasant.  I planted 12 miniature Iris 'Purple Hill' in the Goddess Garden.  These are deep red-violet flowers.  I quite like miniature iris.  I heard a bluejay shrieking "Thief!  Thief!" from the south lot but I never spotted him.

EDIT 10/1/18 -- I went back out and planted 30 Crocus vernus in mixed colors of yellow, purple, white, and purple-and-white-striped.  Some I scattered a few at a time among trees near the house, and slightly less than half went under the Home Base mulberry tree.  It started trying to rain partway through, but that's okay; we could use some rain.

EDIT 10/1/18 -- I planted 10 Allium 'Ping Pong' in the purple and white garden.  These have round heads of tiny white flowers.
