Also, I haven't written it into the story yet, but if they fell in love with someone else, the relationship is open to change. Hasn't changed much in 13 years, but still a possibility.
But yeah, I love Orpheus, as a character. He's such a warm, loving, caring, understanding, and kind man. While both the moms are those things as well, Dalia and Chooli at least are most likely to go right to Orpheus when they're hurt or sad, even if both of the moms are available. Ashkii, too. Vedya is a special case, but when physically hurt she would likely prefer Orpheus as well.
I hadn't considered the adoption issue, which I should have, given that Vedya is adopted. I mean, it IS a whole other government that the witch world there has, but still. Though I have already had then point out their triad marriage is not a legally binding one, just a marriage "in the eyes of the gods." So that's one legal issue mentioned. Taxes... they're wealthy, so taxes are not much of a issue to them.
Oh and yes, Orpheus does in fact have a lovely singing voice, and plays a few instruments, like his namesake. But this Orpheus would be scared of Cerberus. :) Well, unless Cerberus was a killer plant rather than an animal. Orpheus Ravenstone has a way with plants, especially magical plants.
