Emotional Intimacy Question: Wish

Folks have mentioned an interest in questions and conversations that make them think. So I've decided to offer more of those. I'm starting with this list.

26. Complete this sentence: "I wish I had someone with whom I could share ... "

If you already have someone, you can fill in some other wish.

Hmm, I don't currently have any local friends to share  garden shopping with.  My partner isn't into that, although he'll gladly drive me around to places; and my parents often take us out once in spring.  But it's not the same as when I had a handful of friends who would all pile into someone's van and troop around to several places in a day.  I kinda miss having other garden nerds to do that with.

Me too. I get tired of seeing people's eyes glaze over when I try to explain that there are many different kinds of irises or apples (as opposed to what you find in the grocery store.)
{{{Sigh}}}

Hundreds of each! :D I quite enjoy trying new apple varieties.
Have you ever tried a Gold Rush apple?
They're delicious!
That sounds familiar. Ginger Gold is my favorite -- bright, sprightly, with a real zip of spice.
However weird it may sound, Gold Rush is one of those apples that's best eaten after it's had a month in cold storage.
One of the rarest apples I've been able to try eating is the Brushy Mountain Limbertwig.
:^)

Winter Banana and Arkansas Black also benefit from storage. There's a whole category of late-ripening "winter keepers" most of which are cooking apples. :D
Arkansas Black is one of my Hubby's favorites.
Most of the apples that get called "cooking apples" are delicious to eat fresh as well.
One of the modern apple varieties that's just started coming to market is called Envy. It's pretty good eating if what you want is a sweet apple.

Envy does not sound familiar.

I like a lot of "dual-purpose" apples. Cooking apples are often too sour for my taste until they are cooked.
Envy seems to be brand new to the market.
I can't recall seeing it for sale prior to this year and our local walmart just started carrying it.
Try one and see what you think.
